Working and Learning in Community
Epic Opportunities offers holistic, person centred
supports to empower people to learn, work and enjoy life
in the community. Services are available at four
locations across Winnipeg. Each location offers a wide
range of supports based on individual interests, needs
and goals.
SELF DEVELOPMENT AND LIFE LONG LEARNING
Advocacy and supports are provided for people to:
- Access educational and learning opportunities in the community and in our offices.
- Access resources for personal skill development. These may include resources for literacy, recreation, athletics and the arts.
- Participate in self-development workshops.
- Access adaptive resources and therapeutic services.
CONNECTING AND CONTRIBUTING IN THE COMMUNITY
People are supported to:
- Pursue personal interests, goals and dreams.
- Participate in and contribute to community events.
- Pursue membership and volunteer with local organizations or initiatives of personal interest.
- Develop personal networks and connections with other community members.
CAREER EXPLORATION
People are supported to:
- Develop and pursue employment goals.
- Develop employment skills through job development workshops.
- Participate in personal skills development workshops.
- Acquire paid employment.
